MAPP was at the UK Metals Expo on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th September 2022 at the NEC in Birmingham, UK.

The UK Metals Expo is "the first time that the entire industry is both represented and brought together fully under one roof."

The free-to-attend annual event featured speakers and exhibitors. Exhibitors included MAPP's colleagues Royce at the University of Sheffield - leading the Advanced Metals Processing research area of the Henry Royce Institute. They are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to help accelerate university and industry ideas through to an industry production scale in order to meet our global challenges.

Speakers included:

Prof. Martin Jackson, MAPP P2.2 Theme Lead, Henry Royce Institute research area lead: Advanced Metals Processing, gave a talk titled FAST-forge – a new closed-loop recycling approach of powder and swarf waste for next generation titanium alloys. Click here for more information on the talk.
