AM development - colleagues at the University of Sheffield announce the completion of the SERFOW project

MAPP’s colleagues at the University of Sheffield, the Enabling Sciences for Intelligent Manufacturing (ESIM) have announced the completion of the SERFOW project.

The SERFOW (Smart Enabling Robotics driving free FOrm Welding) project involved the development of a highly configurable free-form welding system for the repair and manufacture of high-value aerospace and nuclear industry components.

It was made possible through a collaboration between ESIM, I3D Robotics and the Shadow Robot Company, and was funded by the Innovate UK Energy Game Changer Programme.
