Jo is a specialist in transmission electron microscopy (TEM) for materials science; her personal research interests are in TEM technique development.  Her role in the MAPP team at Sheffield is to carry out advanced TEM and SEM methods such as FIB, electron energy-loss spectroscopy and high-resolution TEM and STEM for MAPP projects that need these methods.
