George's research is focused on the optimisation of manufacturing processes, systems design using computational intelligence and machine learning, as well as autonomous systems for manufacturing. A particular interest is metals design and processing with applications focusing on 'through-process modelling and optimisation' as well as 'prediction of mechanical properties' and ‘real-time process monitoring' using data-driven methodologies.
