Experts from the Wolfson Centre for Bulk Solids Handling Technology, LPW Technology and Fraunhofer IFAM Institute, Bremen, have come together to provide a short course with the help of the Knowledge Transfer Network focussing on additive manufacturing.
The course is aimed at people who work in powder-based additive manufacturing processing, particularly with metal and plastic powders. Attendees do not need any previous formal training - they just need to be working in this field of processing.
Course topics include:
- Metal, plastics and other powders in the AM process
- Characterisation and control of powder properties
- Basic overview of powder evolution and quality loss
- Basic introduction to handling processes
- Quality considerations
