The Centre for Advanced Structural Ceramics is pleased to announce the Ninth CASC Summer School on Ceramics.

The main topic to be covered in this year's edition will be additive manufacturing, but it will also cover bioceramics and mechanical testing.

The Summer School aims to offer information on current developments in manufacturing and properties of ceramics with content delivered through a mixture of tutorials, laboratory sessions and master classes given by experts in the field.

The tutorials are aimed at providing an introduction to subjects for early career engineers or scientists from industry and academia who wish to enhance their background knowledge in ceramics, whereas the master classes are given by experts from industry and academia and will expose the attendees to the newest developments in the field.

Building on the success of hands-on laboratories of the previous edition, the lab sessions will allow the attendees to apply some of the concepts they have been exposed to in tutorials or Masterclasses.

Registration for this year’s Summer School is £450. It includes accommodation for two nights and meals during the whole course.
