The post holder will be working on an exciting project to develop new powder-based processing techniques for the fabrication of ceramics and ceramic composites.

The project will build on the group’s experience and aims to develop new manufacturing techniques for the fabrication of materials with complex shapes and microstructures designed to provide improved functional and mechanical performance. The work involves the development of dry and wet processing approaches (including analysis of the rheology of ceramic suspensions for additive manufacturing).

An enthusiastic and highly motivated individual is sought possessing a strong background in experimental chemistry, material science, ceramic processing, structural and mechanical characterization, rheology and the characterization of ceramic suspensions.
